Emo party?

Well, one of my friends had a great idea.
No one that goes to our school except for a few of my friends actually know what emo is.
I have black hair, I wear studded belts, band shirts, skinny jeans.. they all call me emo.
Well, my friend is having an emo party.
We are inviting pretty much everyone, we want to see how all of the preppy people will try to dress emo. Because we told them they cannot come unless they dress emo.
This shall be interesting.

What do you guys think I should wear?

I'm thinking either:
Black/white striped shirt, black mini skirt, black leggings, black and red Converse
[[or]]
Kutless (band) shirt, black skinny jeans, Adio skate shoes.
Or I am open to other ideas. Anyone got any ideas?

Also, what do yall think of the party idea?

I was in thought that emo was cutting themselfs. also.. thats bad.

Yeah, is it good being an emo? I certianly don't like the idea of someone cutting themselves :S

It depends. Being "emotional" isn't bad... But cutting yourself is self mutilation.

The party is a funny idea... I'd do it. haha

I never understood self harming, I mean, why? People self harm because they are emotionally unstable or upset. So they have all this upset emotional energy. How can they get ride of this emotional stress energy by physical harm? I mean, if your emotionally hurt, to get ride of these emotions you maybe emotionally hurt someone else or upset someone emotionally back.

I don't see why someone emotionally sad could get rid of this by physical use. Surely your still emotionally upset AND phyiscally upset!

OH no.. I understand completely what your saying... I don't get it either... For some reason they think that if they hurt themselves physically while they are broke down emotionally, it'll get rid of the emotional problems with the physical for the mean time. Because you know, if your worrying about something emotionally, and then you get cut your something starts hurting on your body... You instantly forget about what is happening emotionally... Right? But no, I still don't get it. I'm just drawing conclusions.

To get of emotion problems make a physical problem worse.
